🚀 The IT industry sets a record – but where’s the talent?

In 2024, the Danish IT industry reached a historic revenue of 329.8 billion DKK – the 11th consecutive year of growth. Exports are rising, and the demand for IT specialists – especially software developers and consultants – is higher than ever before.

However, the total number of employees in the industry has decreased by 932 people over the past year.

How does this add up?

It’s not that the need has diminished – rather, the demand far exceeds the supply.

Positions remain unfilled because the right candidates are hard to find – and the competition for IT talent has intensified.

At the same time, the number of employed software developers has increased (+419), confirming that this type of skill is being recruited – when it can finally be found.

Conclusion: There are not fewer opportunities – there are fewer people to fill them.

When standard recruitment is not enough, a more targeted effort is required. Here, specialized headhunters can:

  • Identify and activate passive candidates who are not actively seeking jobs.
  • Accelerate the recruitment process and reduce time-to-hire.
  • Ensure the right match – both professionally and culturally.

If your company wants to seize the growth opportunities in the IT industry, the recruitment strategy must be just as ambitious 💥
